Shri Ram Mandir- संघर्ष/Struggle of 500

In a significant development for the Hindu community, the Ayodhya Ram Mandir, also known as the Lord Shri Ram Temple, is set to open on January 22, 2024. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate this grand Hindu temple, which holds immense religious significance for Hindus worldwide since it is situated in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, India, considered to be the birthplace of Lord Shri Ram.

The new temple, being constructed at the Ram Janm Bhumi (birthplace of Lord Ram), has generated widespread excitement among Hindus globally. Once the temple is completed, individuals will have the opportunity to visit this sacred site by booking tickets. To prepare for the anticipated influx of devotees, registration for the Ayodhya Ram Mandir visit in 2024 will be essential for those seeking to witness the new temple first-hand.

The Ayodhya Ram Mandir stands as an impressive architectural masterpiece, designed in the Nagara style of temple architecture, featuring towering spires or shikharas. Built using pink sandstone, the temple covers an expanse of 2.77 acres and includes a large courtyard with several smaller shrines dedicated to various Hindu deities. Notably, the temple houses a giant Shaligram stone, believed to symbolize Lord Ram and brought from the Gandaki river in Nepal.

Rising to a height of 161 feet, the temple comprises three floors, each serving a distinct purpose. The first floor is dedicated to Lord Ram, the second floor to Lord Hanuman, and the third floor houses a museum that showcases the history and culture of Ayodhya. Additionally, the temple complex encompasses amenities such as a yajnashala for conducting Hindu fire rituals, a community kitchen, and a medical facility, all spread across 67 acres.

The construction of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir has been interwoven with a long-standing socio-political dispute, stemming from the demolition of the 16th-century Babri Masjid in 1992. The mosque had stood at a site identified by some Hindus as the birthplace of Lord Rama and was targeted after a political rally organised by Hindu nationalist organisations turned violent. This event led to months of inter communal rioting between India's Hindu and Muslim communities, resulting in significant loss of ~2000 lives and subsequent retaliatory violence in neighbouring countries.

As we await the temple's opening, it is crucial to approach this historic moment with sensitivity and understanding of the diverse perspectives and emotions it evokes. The completion of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir signifies a significant milestone for the Hindu community.

The loss of several lives lost for the cause finally is about to witness the true justice in their means. || अयोध्या तो बस झांकी है... काशी-मथुरा बाकी है ||
